2024 Summer Program
Immerse yourself in Japanese culture, help local students develop English skills, and embark on a journey of self-discovery during your short stay in Japan.

Program Structure
The 2024 CEI Spark programs offer specially designed activities that allow participants to spend a short time in Japan. Participants can choose to join either program, with ample free time to explore Japan and foster new relationships.
Program 1
Active Presentation Camp
1 week, Aug 4th - Aug 10th
Lead the Active Presentation Camp and collaborate with high school students to enhance their group presentation skills in English through interactive activities.
Program 2
Summer English Camp
2 weeks, July 22nd - Aug 2nd
Lead an after-school program for primary school students focusing on teaching basic English communication in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
Active Presentation Camp
You will lead interactive learning activities tailored for team building, design thinking, and presentation skills, drawing from university and professional work experiences.
Activities: ice-breaking, Team-building, Brainstorming using design thinking methodology, Presentation skills lectures, Guest speakers, Mock presentations, Final group presentation competitions
The camp runs from August 4th to August 10th, with two sessions.
Session 1, August 4th to 6th, in Fukuoka, Japan
Session 2, August 7th to 10th, in Nagoya, Japan
Participants are expected to attend both sessions in Fukuoka and Nagoya.

Summer English Camp
You will partner with local teachers to lead interactive learning classes tailored to younger learners. The program focuses on English immersion through activities such as singing, dancing, and games.
The camp runs from July 22nd - Aug 2nd.
The camp is scheduled only on weekdays, allowing weekends for free time.

Through collaboration with our local partner institutions and host cities, the CEI Spark program will cover the fees for:
Accommodations
Ground transportations
Scheduled program activities
Some international airfare & meals (the program will provide further details)
Travel insurance plan
Cost & Expenses
You will also need to budget for a number of expenses not covered by the program. The amounts listed below for these out-of-pocket expenses are approximate, and you may incur additional expenses not noted here. Your actual expenses will depend on a number of factors, including personal spending habits.
